Project overview

The Carnarvon and Exmouth Depots have had minor upgrades over the years, but there is still more work to be done. In order to improve our service to you, and our depots, functionality and storage capabilities, we’re investing over $1 million in refurbishing the Carnarvon Depot, Carnarvon Store building and Exmouth Depot Yard.

The benefits go beyond injecting money directly into the local economy. The refurbishments will result in:

Regional jobs

We’ve awarded Karratha Building Company the $6M contract to refurbish our Carnarvon office and construct a brand-new logistics depot that can better support our Gascoyne Mid West service area.

What’s happening now

Temporary digs

Our Gascoyne Mid West Customer Experience Team has temporarily relocated while major restoration works take place at our office on Robinson Street and Iles Road.

From 16 March, you’ll find our customer service team at Lotteries House, 1 Camel Lane, Carnarvon.

We expect our refreshed Robinson Street and Iles Road office to be open again by the end of the year.

Exmouth locals refurbish the depot

Local contractors, Exmouth Civil, upgraded our Exmouth depot laydown yard in January and February 2021, improving site access, drainage and overall functionality.

Depot refurbishments

The refurbishments will improve our depot spaces, storage, functionality and operations in Exmouth and Carnarvon.

The upgrades will ensure we provide safe workplaces for our people and contractors, and will help us to continue to deliver customer service excellence.
